2017 FHS Tours Are Largest Ever

The 9th summer of FHS Tours directed by FHS Alumni President Robert Foster '66 were more popular than ever.  A total of 354 people attended the seven tours that Bob led in June and July, and while many of them were graduates of the school, most of them were not. Of course many were the spouses and children of alums, but a larger number were visiting tourists, summer residents, and local residents who didn't have the good fortune to live in Fairhaven during the high school years.  The tour consisted of 97 people who attended the last tour on Monday, July 31st. In the photo you can see that only 5 of the 102 desks in Room 7 were vacant when Bob asked them to all take a seat so that he could get a count. (That was easier than trying to count them.)  If you're planning to attend a tour in 2018, Bob plans to lead at least two on Homecoming Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon, and then the next three Fridays at 10:00 AM.  If there is enough demand, then there may be a few more additional tours as there were this year.
