Class of 1967 Celebrates 50 Year Reunion

The Class of 1967 had a very busy Homecoming Weekend.  They kicked off the weekend by raising the Big Flag at FHS. On Saturday, June 24th many of the classmates went on one of the tours at the high school guided by the President of the Alumni Association Robert Foster '66. Beginning at noon and throughout the afternoon many of the classmates strolled through the Homecoming Fair with their spouses and checked out the wide variety of craft booths and the various food offerings available. The Wamsutta Club in New Bedford was the scene of the big party on Saturday evening (see group photo) where the classmates dined and reminisced about their high school days and later danced to the tunes of the D.J.  But they had to get up early Sunday morning to get to the Fairhaven High School Cafeteria by 8:30 AM so they could host the 14th annual All-Class Breakfast Buffet catered by the Courtyard Restaurant. A large crowd of 135 alums and friends of FHS enjoyed the great breakfast and then the classmates conducted the traditional passing of the 50 Year Reunion Banner to those members of the Class of 1968 that were present.  At 4:00 PM many of the classmates were at the flagpole again to lower the Big Flag which symbolized the end of another terrific Homecoming Weekend.
