1994 Football Super Bowl Champs Honored

The 1994 FHS Super Bowl Champions were honored at the annual Fairhaven High School Hall of Fame Banquet on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Century House.  Head Coach Dana Almeida told the large crowd of 240 attendees that this was a "special group of players" who never quit and were determined to be a championship team.  Despite playing an undefeated Matignon team in the Super Bowl game that had defeated all of their opponents by an average of 36 points per game, the Blue Devils defeated them in a wild game by the score of 34-26. Team Captain Danny Vieira served as spokesman for the team and he praised them efforts of his teammates throughout the season.  Nine of his teammates were present to be recognized for their "memorable season" including: Jeff Szynal, Shawn Borges, Tim Guillotte, David Joseph, Brendan Foster, Marc Viveiros, Paul Morrow, Dan Jones and Jack DeValles.
