Scott Ashworth

Scott was one of the finest three sport athletes to have played at Fairhaven High School in the '80's. A three-year letterman in football and basketball and two-year letter winner in baseball, Scott was highly recog­nized for his exploits on the fields and court.

In basketball he scored 1147 points and was the team captain of the 1986-87 group that went to the State Finals in the Worcester Centrum. He was a South Coast Conference and Standard Times All Star in his junior and senior seasons and a Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Star in his senior year as well.

In football Scott won the Harold S. Macomber, Jr. Award in 1986 and was an SCC and Standard-Times All-Star in 1985 and 1986.

Scott batted .400 and served the baseball team as its starting catcher in " both·1986 and 1987.

A recipient of Fairhaven High School's Mel Entin Award and the Ed­ward Andrews Award, Scott went on to Bridgewater State College where he captained the basketball team in 1990 and 1991 and was the MAS-CAL assist leader in 1990.
