Kevin was an outstanding baseball and football athlete at FHS, lettering in both for two years. In football Kevin was a linebacker and center. He served as the team captain and was an AH-Bristol County selection in his senior season.
As a baseball player he was All-Bristol County for two seasons as a first baseman, boasting a .365 batting average in his senior year. He was also the team captain that 1951 season and was selected to the Boston Record (newspaper) All Southern New England team.
Kevin went on to the University of Maine playing both football and baseball. In 1995 he was a Kappa Sigma All America selection for his athletic/academic achievements.
He returned to Fairhaven where he coached the Varsity Club and the FHS football and baseball teams. His 1971 baseball team reached the finals of the State Tournament with a 22-3 record.
