Ernest Driesen

Graduating class: 1942
Inducted into Hall of Fame: 1995
Hall of Fame Category: Athlete

Ernie Driesen was voted "Most Athletic" by his classmates, and it is not any wonder why. He was a forward on and the captain of the basketball team, and played football for four years and baseball in his sophomore, junior and senior years.

In the 1941-42 season Ernie was the highest scorer in Bristol County in basketball and was selected to the All-Bristol County team. An "all-around" athlete, Ernie also was a member of the high school chorus in his senior year.
Ernie went on to become a member of the teaching faculty and a coach at New Bedford Vocational High School.
