Warren "Jim" Griffin, Fairhaven's "triple threat back" of the 1946 football campaign as well as team captain, was among the chief ground gainers and passers for the Blue. His dazzling runs around end and pinpoint passes led the Mel Entin coached Blue in the 1946 season. Warren was a three year football team member for the Blue, achieving his greatest success during the 1946 season as a senior. That year he was named to the All-Bristol County Team.

Griffin played basketball during his sophomore and senior seasons, co-captaining the team during the latter season. He also played baseball for the FHS squad in '45, '46 and '47.

A Sparrow Cup winner in 1947, Griffin was the MVP of both his football and baseball teams during his senior year.
