Nancy (Medeiros) Kirichok

Nancy was an outstanding student-athlete at FHS, graduating fourth in her class. As a member of the National Honor Society, she received many academic awards (Harvard Book Club, Massachusetts Commonwealth Scholar).

As an athlete Nancy also excelled. In field hockey she lead her team to the 1984 SMC division Championship and the state tournament. In winter (indoor) track Nancy held records in the 50 yard dash (:06.1), 300 yd. dash and she was the Class B and State Champion in the 50 yard dash in 1985, setting the record in the All-State meet at MIT in her senior year. In spring track Nancy has held records in the 100 yard and 100 meter dashes, 220 and 200 meter dashes, the 4x100 yd. and 4x100 meter relays, the 4x220 yd. and meter relays, the sprint medley relay, and the high jump relay.

She was a Standard Times and Southeastern Mass. Conference All-Star in all three sports, the "Athlete of the Week" in both the Standard Times and the Advocate, and, in 1985, a Boston Globe All-Star in indoor track and field.

Nancy received the Mildred Parkinson Tunstall Award in her senior year, and is the only female recipient of the Edmund Andrews Memorial Trophy.
