Mark Lombardo

This three-sport athlete won a total of seven varsity letters between his sophomore and senior years, six of them coming in the sports of football and basketball.

1n football Mark played quarterback and in his senior season, helped engineer Fairhaven's first victory over New Bedford High School in 20 years by rushing for the more than100 yards and scoring the game's only touchdown. That same season he led the Southeastern Massachusetts Conference in rushing and was considered the area's top option quarterback on his way to being named to the All Conference, The Standard-Times and Taunton Gazette All-Star teams.

In basketball, Mark capped a solid three-year varsity career by averaging more than18 points a game while earning the distinction of being a premier defensive player on his way to being named to several postseason all-star teams.

He also was awarded a varsity letter for track in his only season (senior) with the team. Following his graduation, the senior class valedictorian enrolled at Tufts University where he continued to play and excel in football.

Today Mark lives with his wife, Rong, and son, Alexander, in California.
