John Rapoza captained the 1941 football team to a 6-3 record and was voted its most valuable player.

As a baseball player he pitched a no-hitter for 8 1/3 innings against Coyle High and lead the team to three successful seasons.

A four-year football player and a three-year baseball player, John was one of the finest of his era. He went on to play both sports for the Fairhaven Varsity Club (football - 7 years; baseball - 4 years).
