Superlatives just don't do justice to the high school career of Crystal on and off the playing fields. Crystal was one of the most talented all around high school athletes in New England earning thirteen varsity letters earning her the Athlete For All Seasons Award' four times. In track, she was a force to be reckoned with, owning eleven F.H.S. records with nine of them still standing today.
Crystal was the 1999 Standard-Times Female Athlete of the Year. She was the 1998 Standard Times Track Athlete of the Year. She was chosen a Standard Times Super Team All-Star for Track seven times, four years outdoors and three years indoors. She won 39 medals in the Class D, State Meet and the New England Championships.
Crystal was the only F.H.S. athlete to ever win the State Heptathlon. competing against eighty-eight of the best of the best female track athletes. She was a Mass State Pentathlon Medal Winner. She was a 1998 Bay State Games gold medal winner in the hurdles and a silver medal winner in the high jump. She was a gold medal winner in the State Games of America in St. Louis. She came in 2nd in the prestigious New York Loucks Games in 1999. She was also the team captain her junior and senior years and was undefeated in the 1O0m dash her senior year.
Crystal also competed in soccer three seasons and was a Standard-Times Super Team All Star and a South Coast Conference All-Star her senior year as well as serving as team captain on a team that was 14-3-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the state tournament. She was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 1999. She was also a cheerleader for three seasons
Crystal received the Mel Entin Award, the Mildred Parkinson Tunstall Award and the Athletic Director's Award. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council President. She also received the Standard-Times Leadership Award.
