In his seven combined seasons of high school track (four winter and three spring) Chris Trudeau broke more records than a rookie disc jockey. The two-sport athlete (he also played three years of soccer) opened the eyes of Fairhaven fans and track followers in general when he was named the outstanding overall performer at the boys’ South Coast Conference Freshmen/Sophomore Meet after soaring six-feet to win the high jump competition and crossing the finish line with a time of :47.6 to capture the 300-meter hurdles event.
By the time Trudeau placed first in the high jump at the TAC’s NEAC Junior Olympic Northeastern Qualifying Meet later in the season every track enthusiast knew the name Chris Trudeau. In December of 1992 the high-flying Fairhaven star tied a school record in his favorite event by clearing the bar at 6-feet-4 inches and eventually broke his record by soaring over the bar at 6-feet-6, which is a FHS record that still stood as of 2026.
Records and ribbons framed his brilliant athletic resume both on and outside of the oval. Here are a few highlights of his storied high school track career.

- - Placed second in the high jump at the EMass Class D Championship at Harvard (6-feet-5) and accounted for half of his team’s 16 points.
