New Alumni Project: Replace the Old Stage Curtains

 style='float:left;margin:0 20px 20px 0'

     We estimate that the stage curtains in the beautiful Knipe Auditorium date back to the 1930's. We found a photo in the 1931 FHS yearbook that shows the curtains and there is no logo on them, so we believe that they're at least 80 years old, and they look it.  The FHS Alumni Board feels strongly that such a gorgeous room with so many hand carved gargoyles jutting out from up above and such a historic atmosphere surrounding the space deserves beautiful curtains on the stage as well.
     We currently have a sub committee led by FHS Alumni Board members Janis (Curcio) Sirois '67 and Samantha Olsen '09 who are seeking out companies that are qualified to produce new stage curtains for our beautiful auditorium. A portion of this year's Light-a-Light donations will be used to fund this project, so we hope that you will help support us in this endeavor.
