2023 "Light-a-Light" Campaign Kicks Off!
The 2022 Light-a-Light Campaign was our most successful one in our 38 years of conducting this fundraiser with over $43,000 being raised thanks to our very loyal and generous alumni base. We've set this year's goal at $45,000 so that we can continue to pursue our mission of supporting Fairhaven High School with restoration projects as well as a variety of programs that support the students and teachers. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to award $30,000 in scholarships to the Class of 2023.
Our beautiful Colorado Blue Spruce Tree on the west lawn of FHS keeps growing so we have room for more and more lights each year. Every $10 donation represents one light on our tree. Once again we are going to award $2,000 scholarships to five college bound students from the Class of 2024 in honor of the five classes that have the most donors. PLEASE NOTE THAT DONATIONS HAVE TO BE A MINIMUM OF $10 PER PERSON TO COUNT TOWARDS THE TOTAL FOR EACH CLASS FOR THE "BATTLE OF THE CLASSES" COMPETITION.
Last year the Classes of 1964, 1962, 1966, 1965 and 1961 were the top five finishers in that order. We will update the tabulations each week on our website as well as on our Facebook page.
