2023 LIGHT-A-LIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS!

As of December 31, 2023 the FHS Alumni Association had received $41,485 from 658 donors.  While not reaching our goal of $45,000, we had participation from many new donors and the "Battle of the Classes" was by far the most competitive that we've ever had.  We had several shifts in the top 5 in the last several days of the month as the Class of 1973 doubled their total of 12 from a week ago to finish with 24 and end up in 6th place. And the Classes of 1976 and 1979 had large donations come in for deceased classmates.  The top six classes in the competition will have a $2,000 scholarship awarded to a college bound member of the Class of 2024 on Junior Day, Friday, May 31, 2024.
With only the mailed checks that are postmarked by December 31st unaccounted for, the Top Ten Classes are:

    1.  1964 - 103
    2.  1966 -   61
    3.  1986 -   40
    4.  1976 -   39
    5.  1987 -   32
    6.  1973 -   25
     -----------------
    7.  1965 -   21
    7.  1979 -   21
    7.  1988 -   21
   10.  1961 -   18
   11.  1967 -   13
   12.  1962 -   12

The Board of Directors of the FHS Alumni Association is thrilled by the spirit and generosity that was displayed during this year's fundraising drive, and we anticipate next year's "Battle of the Classes" being even more competitive.
