FHS "Junior Day" May 31, 2024

At the annual FHS Junior Day program on May 31, 2024 a group of FHS Alums presented six $2,000 scholarships that were funded from the 2023 Light-a-Light fundraiser.  The six classes that had the most donors in the "Battle of the Classes" competition each had a representative present to hand out their scholarship. The recipients were:  Libby St. Pierre (Emmanuel College), Natalie Yochim (Penn State), Arden Bradshaw (Providence College), Hugo Surprenant (UConn), Taylor Desmarais (Endicott College), Kiana Coppa (Brown University). Lexi Davignon will be majoring in Music Education at Salem State and received the inaugural $5,000 Doreen Nelsen '60 Scholarship donated by her son Derek.
Alumni President Bob Foster '66 also presented $1,000 Brick Park Scholarships to Libby St. Pierre and Kiana Coppa.  The remainder of the Alumni Scholarships were distributed at graduation on June 2nd. Those scholarships included four $2,000 awards that were funded by the Alumni Association as well as a $1,000 scholarship funded by Philip Whiting '67 and two $2,500 McCombe Family Scholarships financed by David McCombe '66.
