30th Annual FHS Hall of Fame Inductions

     On Sunday, June 29, 2025 the Fairhaven High School Hall of Fame will host the 30th Annual FHS Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony at the Century House in Acushnet, MA. The Social Hour begins at 5:00 PM and the buffet dinner is served at 6:15 PM followed by the inductions.  The seven inductees include John Hennessy (1950), a starting guard on the 1949-1950 State Basketball Championship Team led by Bart Leach and coached by Mel Entin, that went 25-0, and was the most outstanding basketball team in school history.  Newly elected State Representative Mark Sylvia (1992) will be inducted as a Lifetime Achiever, and Coach Karen (Olsen) Arsenault ’88 will become the first person inducted into the Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach.  Fernando DaSilva (1994) was an outstanding soccer player for Coach Sam Galvam in the early ‘90’s and will join his Hall of Fame coach once he’s inducted.  Kayli Moniz (2012) earned her induction as an outstanding athlete on the volleyball, basketball and softball teams.  One of her teammates on all three of those teams, Kelsey-Korin Sovik (2012) will also be inducted based on her outstanding athletic achievements.  Kross Negalha (2015) earned his induction on the basis of his stand out years on both the football and lacrosse teams.     
     Two football teams become the just the second and third teams to be inducted to the FHS Hall of Fame.  The 1991 and the 1994 Super Bowl Championship Football Teams will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Both teams were coached by FHS Hall of Fame Coach Dana Almeida and were the first FHS football teams to play in and win Super Bowl games.
