At the May 30, 2025 Junior Day Program the FHS Alumni Association distributed $35,000 in scholarships to 17 college bound seniors.  The scholarships included $20,000 from alumni fundraising and $15,000 from privately funded scholarships by several generous alumni and friends of FHS.
Alumni President Robert Foster '66 and Treasurer Nancy (Morris) Foster '66 were joined by Tom Cabral '64, Debbie (Honahan) Soares '73 and Ray Canastra '76 to hand out the $2,000 scholarships that were awarded in honor of the five top classes from the "Battle of the Classes" competition last winter ('64, '66, '73, '76 & '81).
Mr. Foster welcomed the Class of 2025 as the newest members of the FHS Alumni Association and described some of the recent projects (scoreboard at Alumni Stadium, new stage curtains in the Knipe Auditorium and the recent restoration of the 102 desktops in Room 7, which brought a round of applause from the graduates).
Some of the privately funded scholarships were provided by Chad Portas '92 in memory of Joey St. Pierre '93, David McComber '66 (McCombe Family Scholarships) and Philip Whiting '67 (Fire Science/Criminal Justice Scholarship).
A complete list of the scholarships, recipients and the colleges that they will be attending is attached below.
